Lindfield III 1, Wivelsfield Green II 2
Wivelsfield Green 2nds went into their league game with Lindfield knowing that a win would clinch the division 7 title. A goal down at half time, manager Andrew Smith gave the team a roasting and it had the desired affect. With 20 minutes remaining captain Mark O’Neill danced through the Lindfield defence and equalised. The win was sealed with a minute to go when top scorer James Potten acrobatically volleyed home. MoM went to the whole team for a great performance and a great season.

Wivelsfield Green 3, Balcombe 1                                                                   
Wivelsfield Green started strongly against a useful Balcombe outfit and deservedly took the lead when Gareth Thomas lashed home a shot from the edge of the area. Shooting up the slope in the second half Balcombe hit a controversial equaliser and began to make their physical presence felt. However a double from Gavin McIntosh late on, the first being an unstoppable half volley sealed the win for the Green. Liam Elliot put in a MoM display at right back.

Wivelsfield Green 3, Wisdom Sports II 1
Wivelsfield Green started slowly in their league encounter with Wisdom Sports reserves but took the lead when Matt French was tripped in the box, Declan Murphy coolly despatched the resulting penalty. Sports levelled against the run of play but Andy Lynskey headed the Green back in front before half time. With Tommy Brown and Mark Fotiadis pulling the strings in midfield the Green dominated the second half but could only manage one more goal through MoM Murphy.

Heath Pilgrims 0, Wivelsfield Green 1
In Division 1 Wivelsfield Green started brightly against a determined Heath Pilgrims side and had the best of the early exchanges. Pilgrims grew stronger as the half went on but it was the Green who took the lead on the half hour when Veteran Michael Everest climbed highest from a corner to notch a trademark header. The second half was again an even affair with both sides having some good possession but lacking the cutting edge on the day. Green eventually hung on for the three points with David Kately the star turn at centre back.

Wivelsfield Green II 9, Bolney Rovers 2
Division 7 pacesetters Wivelsfield Green 2nds faced third placed Bolney Rovers in a crucial league encounter.  The tough game that Wivvie were expecting didn’t materialize and it was 4 – 0 at half time, James Potten having opened the scoring within the first minute.  Wivvie went on to dominate the game and eventually ran out 9 - 2 winners.  Goal scorers were James Potten 3, Roy Maunick 3, Mark Turner, Mark Shimizu and Ed Burton. MOM was jointly awarded to Tommy Brown and Roy Maunick, however it was a great all round team display.

Jarvis Brook 1, Wivelsfield Green 1
Out of form Wivelsfield Green faced a daunting trip to division 1 leaders Jarvis Brook, but came away with a point and could have sneaked all three. Green started slowly and were under pressure from the first minute. Luck and good defending meant that it was goaless at half time. The second half was much more even and despite falling behind the Green never gave up. John Kearvill hit a deserved equaliser from Tim Reynolds inch perfect through ball and it ended 1 a piece. Mike Bentley at the back and Andy Lynskey in midfield were both superb for Green.

Wisdom Sports III 1, Wivelsfield Green II 4
Wivelsfield Green 2nds progressed to the next round of the cup with 4 - 1 victory over Wisdoms Sports 3rds.  Wivielsfield struggled to find their rhythm and were a goal down early on against a hard working Wisdoms side. Once they found their stride Max Thompson levelled and Dave Kately volleyed them ahead before halftime. The second half was all Wivelsfield with MOM Thompson running the show. Mark Turners deflected corner and the goal of the game from Gavin MacIntosh sealed a satisfying win, particulary amongst the ex Wisdoms players in the Green’s lineup.

Wivelsfield Green II 6, Lindfield III 1
Wivelsfield Green 2nds recorded their 14th win in a row and went top of division 7 at the expense of Lindfield 3rds as they were humbled 6 – 1. Captain Mark O’Neill and Roy Maunik scored in the first half. Lindfield replied but the the Green dominated the second half and scored 4 more through Mauniks second, Tommy Brown, Mark Shimizu and Nick De Bruxelles. Player Manager Andy Smith was thrilled with the whole teams display.

Wivelsfield Green II 2, Bolney Rovers 1
Wivelsfield Green 2nds had a tight 2 – 1 cup victory against Bolney Rovers. Eddy Burton scored both for the Green, but it was goalkeeper Rob Lee who was Man of the Match with a master class between the sticks.

Wivelsfield Green 4, Lewes Rovers 1
Wivelsfield Green continued their good league run with a hard fought 4 – 1 victory over Lewes Rovers. The Green were 3 up at the break despite not being at their best through goals from Mike Bentley, Shane Christie and skipper Mark Fotiadis. Rovers pulled a goal back in the second half but the Greens defence held on and it was left to MoM Dan Butson to seal victory with 35 yard chip near the end.

Wivelsfield Green II 2, Cuckfield III 0
Wivelsfield Green 2nds continued their good form with their 7th win on the spin against a spirited Cuckfield 3rds side. Mark Shimizu notched his 4th goal in 4 games to the give the Green the lead at half time, and captain Mark O’Neill added another in the second half. Player Manager Andy Smith was MoM with some valiant defending.

Wivelfield Green 3, Newick 1
Wivelsfield Green beat a strong Newick side 3 – 1 thanks to 2 composed penalties from captain Mark Fotiadis and a late header from Mick Everest. All the goals came in the second half after a tight first 45. Green’s counter attacking play could have yielded more goals in an excellent team performance with Michael Bentley the outstanding player on the pitch at left back.

Bolney Rovers 1, Wivelsfield Green II 5
Wivelsfield Green seconds hit the goal trail again with an emphatic 5 - 1 win at Bolney Rovers. After conceding an early penalty the Green never looked back, with goals from top scorer Declan Murphy(2), Roy Maunik, Mark Shimizu and Eddy Burton. Tommy Brown had another great game, as did MoM Ben Wanless in central midfield.

Maresfield Village 1, Wivelsfield Green 4
Wivelsfield Green had a cracking 4 - 1 cup victory at Premier Division side Maresfield Village. The Green soaked up some early pressure and led 2 - 0 at the break thanks to Adrian Moore and Michael Everest. Village managed to pull a goal back but the win was sealed by Justin Morris and a neat finish from Dan Butson. Andy Lynskey put in a MoM display at center back

Turners Hill 1, Wivelsfield Green 2
Wivelsfield Green started Slowly against Turners Hill in Division 1 and found themselves a goal down after 20 minutes. A change of formation at halftime and it was the Green who were bossing the match and playing some good football. They finally got a deserved equalizer from veteran Michael Everest on 70 minutes. The points were wrapped up with 5 to play when player/manager Justin Morris smashed home a 30-yard free kick.

Wivelsfield Green II 10, Cuckfield Town III 0
Wivelsfield Green 2nds cup game with Cuckfield was nearly all over by halftime as they led 4 – 0, with goals from Mark O’Neill, Eddy Burton (2) and Shane Burgess. In the second half Burgess netted again and Burton completed his hat-trick. Mark Shimizu rifled in the goal of the game before Justin Morris and MoM Tommy Brown got in on the act. The tenth and final goal came from Chris Reilly when he chipped the keeper for his first goal in five years.

Maresfield Village III 3, Wivelsfield Green II 5
A Shane Christie hat-trick and a well taken brace from Tim Reynolds ensured a comfortable 5 – 3 win for Wivelsfield Green Seconds in Division 7. Mark O’Neill was the Green’s MoM with a dominant midfield display, player manager Andy Smith also looked sharp at the back.
